The ‘AgroFilm’ is an entirely biodegradable film which, biodegrades completely with the action of micro-organisms under aerobic conditions and suitable humidity, changing into CO2, water and biomass.
It is made of Mater-Bi, a bioplastic from renewable raw materials of agricultural origin, and from non-gentically modified starch.
The biodegradation of Mater-Bi has been certified by several organisations in accordance with the international standards EN13432 & DIN 54900.
The main advantages of the film are:
· The film does not need to be removed after havesting the crops
· Excellent weed barrier in forestry and landscaping
· Biodegrades fully in the soil
· Leaves no harmfull residue
· Can be used on the conventional machines for PE-film
· Reduced labour costs
